With 6% growth in gross domestic product (GDP) per year for the last few years, Indonesia is one of only five countries that did not enter recession during the recent Global Financial Crisis. The potential for geothermal is large; the current policy objective is to expand geothermal to 5% of total energy supply by 2025.
